A lot of people have used the reselling model to make money, whether they are buying and selling video games at garage sales or buying products from online. If you’re looking for more than making a quick buck, then retailing might be a better choice.

A retailer purchases products from a distributor or wholesaler and then sells them to the final customer, usually at more than the original price. This can be done through marketplaces online like eBay or Amazon or traditional brick and mortar directory stores. Retailers can also provide a unique set of additional services, such a customization or technical support.

Resellers purchase items, and then resell them at a reduced price to the customer who will typically, they sell the product at less than the original cost. Resellers can be found in every industry and are not always as customer-focused as retailers. They can also rebrand or repackage products with private labels and sell them directly to retailers or to consumers.

Resellers tend to focus more on reselling products to other businesses than retailers. This is especially useful for companies with less capital to invest when purchasing huge quantities of goods. Additionally the retail stores are usually equipped to provide a broad assortment of products and services at a single location, whereas resellers typically focus on reselling a specific product to customers.
